SIX Swiss and BME Exchanges See Robust Trading Activity, Surpass €1 Trillion in Turnover

Trading turnover across SIX Swiss Exchange and BME Exchange has exceeded CHF 978.5 billion (EUR 1.04 trillion) year-to-date as of July, marking a 17.3% increase from the same period last year. The number of transactions surpassed 52 million, reflecting heightened market activity.

Equities turnover on SIX Swiss Exchange ROSE 15.1% to CHF 537.99 billion, while the ETF segment surged 85.8% to CHF 77.64 billion. Fixed income trading on BME Exchange climbed 25.7% in July, with EUR 15.15 billion traded. Spanish equities turnover reached EUR 226.25 billion, up 14% year-to-date.

CIRSA debuted on the Spanish stock market on 9 July 2025 with a EUR 2.52 billion valuation, becoming the fifth listing on SIX-operated exchanges this year. Bond issuance also gained traction as companies capitalized on favorable market conditions.
